Abstract
The revised program SIRIUS for the simulation of hydrodynamic journal bearings is presented. The stability of the shaft orbit calculation has been improved. Different versions of the program are connected and the program gets a new structur. It is divided into Preprozessor, Solver and Postprozessor. The Preprozessor supports the input of dates with a system of control parameters, with plausibility tests and with a free navigation between the input menus.
